Local Missions Serve Day

November 10, 2019

On Sunday, Nov. 10, we are inviting everyone to participate in a church-wide serve day.

We will be helping widows, families in need, local missions, etc. There are projects including cleaning, organizing, meal prep, yard work, laundry, gardening, small home projects and more.

There are 2 shifts: From 11 a.m.-1 p.m. or 1-3 p.m.

If you signed up for a Grab & Go lunch it will be available from a tent in front of The Bridge.

The following is a list of the current Serve Day Ministry Projects and Connect Groups Assigned:

Graciously Broken
– Monetary donations
– Dry walling, painting, hanging fixtures
– Serving a meal and having a Bible study
Harvest Outreach
– Serving with Dale and Lisa Turner
– Helping fund and volunteering with the Thanksgiving distribution
Heartisan’s Marketplace
– Mail-out
– Working retail in the store
House of Disciples
– Frozen meals and delivery
– Canned food delivery
House of Hope
– Facilitating open discussion for ladies
– Outside projects (bring ladders)
– Warehouse cleaning at men’s shelter
Hwy 80 Men’s Shelter
– Clothing room and library
– Warehouse cleaning/organizing
– Cleaning kitchen and dining hall
– Storage bins and helping other groups
– Painting and organizing
– Clearing two lots with 9th grade boys
– Painting computer lab and front porch
– Cleaning chapel and power washing the outside
– Repairing and painting the day room
Hwy 80 Women’s Shelter
– Crafting for the carnival, power washing, organizing the shed, painting the kitchen/dining hall
– Providing hotdogs, buns, chips for carnival
Life Matters
– Working the Blend Conference as volunteers
Mercy Manor
– Monetary donations
– Giving cooking lessons to the girls and helping with an upcoming office move
Newgate Mission
– Monetary donations
– Sack lunch prep
– Organizing and cleaning out pantry
– Buying and serving pizza lunch
Rahab’s Retreat
– Children’s activities
– Pantry and shelving
Reach Kids 4 Christ
– Coloring book mail-out/distribution (5,500 books to Mexico)
Shade Tree Ministries
– Monetary donations
– Community block party at Willow Park
