The mission of the Mobberly worship ministry is to "Declare His glory among the nations, His wonderful works among the peoples." (1 Chronicles 16:24) The Mobberly worship ministry strives to incorporate music, drama, audio, video, and lighting into our expression of worship. We are excited to welcome those interested in serving in any aspect of the worship ministry.

Mobberly's Worship Ministry

The worship ministry of Mobberly Baptist Church is made up of adults, students and children of all ages and backgrounds.  We come together each week to: “Declare His glory among the nations, His marvelous deeds among all peoples.” (I Chron. 16:24)  Our goal is to train individuals to use their spiritual and musical giftedness to worship God.  Mobberly’s worship ministry believes in the pursuit of excellence for the glory of God.  The psalmist said, “I will not offer to the Lord that which costs me nothing,” (II Samuel 24:24) so we strive to offer the Lord an excellent sacrifice.  As you will see through our different musical styles and groups, the worship ministry is excited to allow the people of God to both serve and experience Jesus Christ!  We invite YOU to come and join our team!

Adult Choir

Our choir is a group of uniquely gifted people of all ages who lead worship during the 8:00, 9:30, and 11:00 a.m. worship services at the Longview campus. The choir is made up of believers who connect weekly during rehearsals, support one another through prayer, and enjoy fellowship through various social gatherings throughout the year.

How to Join: Come to any Wednesday evening rehearsal, no auditions required.

Rehearsals: Wednesdays, 6-7:30 p.m.-Rehearsal Hall

Orchestra

This group of skilled instrumentalists comes together to enhance the message of Jesus by using their musical talents to lead worship each week during the 8:00, 9:30, and 11:00 a.m. worship services at the Longview campus. The orchestra also joins the Mobberly Choir for its annual Patriotic Family Night and Christmas presentation, Sounds of the Season.

Band

Multiple teams of skilled musicians including high school students, college students, and adults come together to serve Mobberly by leading in worship.  These teams serve the church by leading across all campuses for varied age groups.

KidsLIFE Children's Choir

Current Needs: Choreography volunteers & KidsLIFE Children’s Choir Event volunteers

Each week, children in Pre-K through 6th grade gather on Wednesday nights as part of KidsLIFE. KidsLIFE is an exciting evening of activities, music, missions, and discipleship. Our auditioned pre-teen KidsLIFE Worship Teams lead an active time of worship and help prepare students who participate in Children’s Choir for special Sundays and choir events.

Pre-K and kindergarten children also experience praise and worship in their own setting and have opportunities to participate in Children’s Choir events as well. Our goal for Children’s Choir is to teach biblical truth through music, develop hearts of worship, and give children opportunities to serve in our church.

Media Ministry

Mobberly Media exists to further the Gospel through today’s technology. We enhance and facilitate worship and ministry within the church while extending the message beyond our walls into the community and around the world.

Our team strives for excellence in all we do because we believe our mission is the most important one humanity has been given: to share the love and story of Jesus Christ.

Mobberly Media uses audio, video, and lighting to enhance ministry within the church, as well as video streaming and other channels to extend the ministry of the church beyond our walls.

Mobberly Media consists of dedicated volunteers who operate equipment each week across all our campuses and venues. You, too, can join our team and use your gifts in our effort to reach the lost.
