How long have you been at Mobberly? I’ve been a member of Mobberly for the past 18 years.

Job? I work as a nurse.

Tell a bit about your family. I’ve been happily married to my husband for 18 years, and together we have three wonderful children.

Why do you serve in youth ministry?  I love serving in the youth ministry, because I enjoy encouraging students as they grow in their faith and relationship with Christ. 

What’s one thing you enjoy doing? In my free time, you’ll usually find me relaxing with a good paint-by-number project.

Debbie Miller - 7th Girls

Tell a bit about your family. Widowed for almost 19 yrs.

Son, Cory Miller, single, works for Dallas Cowboys as Executive Producer of Stadium Events.

Daughter and son in law, Courtney and Shane Goswick, Parents of my 3 grandkids: Miller (Senior); Memphis (Freshman);  McKoy (7th grade).

Courtney and Shane are self employed, property investors, owner of Local Lights, and podcasters.

Why do you serve in youth ministry? My deceased husband and I taught youth for over 10 years at Macedonia Baptist Church. With him being a high school coach, we were invested in being Christian role models for students, having a passion for seeing them grow and come to faith in Christ. When he passed away, I briefly continued teaching youth, but soon was lead to teach a singles women’s class and Bible studies at church and in my home. However working at the high school, I was able to continue ministering to youth in that environment. With recent retirement, the Lord graciously presented an opportunity to return to teaching in the youth.

What’s one thing you enjoy doing?  Besides being with and watching my my grands, working in the yard.

Rynda Curl - 7th Girls

Where did you go to HS/College?  East Central University in Ada, OK

How long have you been at Mobberly? 11 years

Job?  2nd Grade Teacher at Pine Tree, Parkway Elementary

Tell a bit about your family. I have been married to Michael Curl for almost 17 1/2 years. We have 2 children. Will-13 & in 7th grade and Laynee-(almost) 11 & in 5th grade. We also have a sweet & needy 3 year old Bernedoodle named Lucy.

Why do you serve in youth ministry? Youth ministry is the future of the church. I love seeing them come into their own faith & start to truly live for Jesus. Plus, they help keep me young. 

What’s one thing you enjoy doing? Sitting on the beach with my toes in the water, watching the waves & listening to them hit the shore. Then sitting out long enough to watch the sun set.

Amber Herrington - 7th Girls

Where did you go to HS/College? I went to Kilgore college for my RN and did my MSN at UTA.

How long have you been at Mobberly?  20ish years

Job?  Nurse at Hospitality Health ER

Tell a bit about your family.  Michael and I will be married 25 years this December. We have two sons, 1 is 23 and in college and the other is 12 and in youth ministry here.

Why do you serve in youth ministry?  I enjoy interacting with the students. They teach me as much as I teach them.

Katy Corbin - 8th Girls

Where did you go to HS/College?  I went to a small private Christian school and college in East Texas. 

How long have you been at Mobberly? After moving back home to be closer to family, we joined Mobberly in 2023. 

Job? I enjoy being a homeschool mom. I also teach English and other classes online. 

Tell a bit about your family. I am married to my husband, David. We have three children. Taylor, my oldest, is a sophomore in college at UT Tyler majoring in nursing. Kendall, my middle, is in the tenth grade. She is keeping us all busy with her volleyball skills this year. Parker is the baby of the family. He is in the 5th grade, loves catching bugs, and enjoys drawing. 

Why do you serve in youth ministry? To make a difference…and to learn all the new terminology. Junior high teens are awesome!

 Where did you go to HS/College? I went to Cochranton Jr/Sr High School and Cochranton PA.

How long have you been at Mobberly? I have been at Mobberly for 9 years.

Job? I serve as the Administrative Assistant to Serve Team/Missions Coordinator here at Mobberly.

Tell a bit about your family. I am married, have 6 children, and 13 grandchildren.

Why do you serve in youth ministry? I serve in youth ministry so I can use my parenting/life experience to influence the next generation.

Justine LaMaster - 8th Girls

Where did you go to HS/College? I graduated from Longview High School and went to Kilgore College for a few semesters.

How long have you been at Mobberly? I’ve been a member of the Mobberly family since 2016.

Job? I started working at Mobberly in 2011 in the MDO program, and when Olivia started kindergarten, I moved into a full-time role. I’m now an admin for the Serve Team, which has me moving in a lot of different directions and helping keep things running smoothly behind the scenes.

Tell a bit about your family. Jonathan and I have been married for 23 years. He works in IT here at MBC. We have four kids: Mason (22), Isaac (20), Evan (16), and Olivia (13).  As a family, we love playing board games, watching movies, and going camping together.

Why do you serve in youth ministry? I started serving when my oldest was in middle school and have loved jumping in for camps, spring break trips, and summer day trips ever since. Middle school can be a tough stage, but it’s such an important time in their lives. I love how fun and full of energy these students are, and I’m excited to be here more consistently — encouraging them and reminding them they matter.

What’s one thing you enjoy doing? I love doing design work. I do a lot of it for Mobberly and for the band, and I could spend hours just exploring new fonts and layouts.

Alicia Bigham - 8th Girls

Where did you go to HS/College? I graduated from Dover High School in New Hampshire. I went to North Miami Beach School of Travel and Tourism for an associate’s degree.

How long have you been at Mobberly? I am in my 20th year at Mobberly.

Job? For the past 15 years, I have been working for Pine Tree ISD at Parkway Elementary. I am currently in the RTI department, but I was originally in the SPED department.

Tell a bit about your family. I am married to Dave Bigham; together, we have 3 children: Patrick Bigham, 28, Annabelle Bigham, 21, and Benjamin Bigham, 19. Dave works for Social Security, and  Patrick is finishing his Master’s from LeTourneau and sings in the choir at Mobberly, in the praise team.  Annabelle is a senior at Missouri State University and competes in the color guard team there. Benjamin is a sophomore at Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN, where he is plugged in doing mission work and studying entrepreneurship.

Why do you serve in youth ministry? I serve in the youth ministry because I have had a heart for youth ever since I was a director for a GA camp. I went as a teacher and discovered that the girls were deeper thinkers than just the lesson being taught. I found it helped me grow in my walk with the Lord when answering the tough questions they had. My girls have been at my table since 5th grade. Watching their walk grow has been such a blessing; they never cease to amaze me.

What’s one thing you enjoy doing? I absolutely love to decorate, cook, craft, and anything for Christmas. It is my happiest time.

Regina Bonner - 7th Girls

Where did you go to HS/College? Seagoville HS; East TX State University (now TX A&M Commerce).

How long have you been at Mobberly? I have been at Mobberly for 5.5 years. 

Job? I am a retired public school educator. 

Tell a bit about your family. I have one son and his family, two grandchildren.

Why do you serve in youth ministry?  I have volunteered in youth ministry for a long time and have always enjoyed it!  

What’s one thing you enjoy doing? I enjoy refurbishing metal items and singing in the Mobberly choir.

Drew Allison - 7th Guys

Where did you go to HS/College? I was homeschooled through High School. I attended college at Liberty University where I completed my Master’s degree in Human Services with an emphasis on Executive Leadership.

How long have you been at Mobberly? Our family started attending Mobberly in 2018.

Job? I work as a SGT for the Longview Police Department and am assigned four responsibilities within the department:  Supervisor over school safety, SWAT Team leader and Sniper Team Leader, Lead Active Shooter coordinator for multiple agencies in North East Texas and Department Range Maste.

Tell a bit about your family. I have been married to my amazing wife (Brie Allison) for 20 years. We have four awesome children, Vance Anders (14 years old), Brennan William (13 years old), Thor (10 years old), and Davy Kate (7 years old). I am blessed to have them in my life. All three boys attend Hallsville ISD and my wife Brie, home schools our daughter at this time. The entire family is involved in Upwards sports for football and soccer and we are a family that loves the outdoors.

Why do you serve in youth ministry? I serve in the youth ministry because my father was a pastor growing up, but due to the busyness of life, he never was involved in the youth. As a young man in high school, I decided when I became a father, I was going to serve in my children’s youth group in order to invest in their lives and the lives of their friends and point them towards Christ. If I want my boys to grow up as leaders of their families and invest in their children spiritually (my future grandchildren), then I need to show them the way with how I invest my time and energy in them and their friends. Life is so busy in the day to day urgencies, and I realize I only have a few summers left until I will no longer be my children’s whole world when I come home from work. I want to be intentional about discipleship of my children and their friends in order for them to grow in Christ and be leaders and protectors wherever they go for Christ.

What’s one thing you enjoy doing? I enjoy being outdoors with my family. This could be walks, four-wheeling, hunting, camping, or just a picnic outside.

Eric Ouzts - 7th Guys

Where did you go to HS/College?  Pine Tree High School Graduate / Kilgore College Diesel Technology.

How long have you been at Mobberly? I've been at Mobberly for 13 years. 

Job? Self-employed, Ennovare, LLC, we manufacture, service and maintain gas compression equipment.

Tell a bit about your family. I’ve been married to my wife Nichole for 19 years and we have 4 children, Carter 17, Luke 14, Matthew 10, and Ellie 7. 

Why do you serve in youth ministry? Originally because I have children in the youth, but I enjoy watching and helping these kids grow in their faith and friendships.

What’s one thing you enjoy doing? Working with my hands.

Michael Herrington  - 7th Guys

Where did you go to HS/College? I have 8 degrees. Two on purpose the rest by accident. I am a RN and I have a MBA. Ut Tyler and Spring Arbor Michigan are my main two schools.

How long have you been at Mobberly?  I have been at Mobberly for almost 16yrs. I went to small group there for 6 months before I ever went in to the sanctuary. The first day in the sanctuary I felt the Holy Spirit telling me to join that day

Job? RN/administrator at Hospitality Health ER.

Tell a bit about your family. We will have been married 25 years this December 29th. We will have been together 27 years this New Years Day. We have 23yo and 12 yo, both boys. Both went or go to Mobberly. We have 4 dogs and a cat.   

Why do you serve in youth ministry? I serve in youth cuz I am called too and I love doing it.

What’s one thing you enjoy doing? I like to golf, fish, outdoors when it is 214 degrees.

Mark Johnson - 8th Guys

Where did you go to HS/College? How long have you been at Mobberly? I joined Mobberly Baptist Church in March 1979. I started teaching 7th grade boys in 1980 and was also very active in Mobberly Choir and Sixteen Singing Men for 30 years.

Job?  I am happily retired and formerly worked in the financial industry as a commercial banker and stock broker in East Texas. 

Tell a bit about your family. My wife, Anna, has taught at Hallsville ISD for 34 years. We have two children. My daughter, Lindsey Riddles, is 34 years old and a nurse at Good Shepherd Christus. Her husband, Jeremy, is a self-employed home builder. They have one daughter, Joelle “Jojo”, who is 5 years old and my one and only grandchild. My son, Cooper, is 26 years old, single, and is an United States Marine who has been serving in Okinawa and South Korea for the past 3 ½ years. We have one dog, Ranger (named after the Texas Rangers).

Why do you serve in youth ministry? I serve in Mobberly’s youth ministry because God has called me to do so. More than anything else, I want youth to come to know Jesus; not only as Savior, but also as Lord of their life. I want them to have an intimate relationship with Jesus to experience the ultimate fullness of life here and now.

What’s one thing you enjoy doing? I enjoy music and reading.

Henry Hunter  - 8th Guys

Where did you go to HS/College? I'm currently a student at ETBU. 

How long have you been at Mobberly? I have been at Mobberly for a little over two years. 

Job? I’m a youth apprentice here at Mobberly.

Tell a bit about your family. My family includes my mom, dad, and one little brother.

Why do you serve in youth ministry? I serve in the youth ministry so that I can pour into these young men. I also believe it’s highly important for every Christian to serve or be involved in some capacity at their local church.

What’s one thing you enjoy doing? I love doing outdoor activities, one activity I really enjoy is mountain biking.
