Parent Commissioning is a celebration! We recognize and celebrate sending parents into their homes to intentionally make disciples and lead their families.

Why Parent Commissioning?

The goal of parent commissioning is to begin a partnership with families to make Christ the center of their home. Through this event, we will equip and resource parents to lead their children to know and follow Jesus. We celebrate the blessing of children and the commitment of our church to partner with parents in their spiritual formation.

This is a two-part event: Equipping Parents and Celebrating Families.

The Equipping course includes two classes that cover topics like, why God created the family, understanding family discipleship and how the church partners with parents, tips and practical strategies to help your children grow in their relationship with Jesus, and a special time of commitment and prayer.

The second part is a Celebration on Sunday morning during a worship service. We thank God for each child and recognize each family’s commitment. We also commit as a church to partner with the families and seek their spiritual formation.

WHO:

This is for church members with new additions or who have recently recognized the call to disciple their children and are committed to that pursuit. We love including grandparents in this milestone and encourage them to register as well.
