Jamie G. Vanbiber, MAMFT, LPC

Associate Counselor

After years of serving others as the wife of a pastor and mother of twin girls, Jamie felt the call to serve in a new way and enrolled in the Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy degree at LeTourneau University.  Jamie graduated with a MAMFT degree from LETU in 2014.  Previously she earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Louisiana State University in General Studies with a concentration in Social Sciences.  

Jamie completed 3,000 hours of counseling under the supervision of Sonya Reeder.  She was fully licensed by the State of Texas as Licensed Professional Counselor in September of 2018.  Jamie thrives in offering therapy to clients of diverse ages, ethnicities, spiritual beliefs, sexual and gender identities, socioeconomic statuses and mental health histories.  Jamie offers counseling to individuals and couples using various treatment methods including, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness, Trauma Therapy, Self-compassion, and Contemplative Spirituality.  

Jamie has planned and developed group therapy curriculum on topics such as Family Systems, Boundaries, Shame and Guilt, Traits of Anxiety and Distress Tolerance, Forgiveness, Attachment, Identity and Perfectionism while serving as a Therapist at UT East Texas Behavioral Health Center.

Jamie is married to Craig and they are expecting the arrival of their second grandchild in November.
