2025 End of Year Letter

Dr. Andrew Hébert   -

As we near the end of 2025, it is a good time to reflect on our purpose as a church. Our mission statement is that we are people leading people into a life-changing, ever-growing relationship with Jesus Christ. This helps us define what true growth looks like as a church. Progress isn’t measured in buildings or budgets but in changed lives and maturing faith. In Colossians 2:6-7, the Apostle Paul says, “So then, just as you have received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to walk in him, being rooted and built up in him and established in the faith…” At Mobberly, we exist to help people know Jesus and grow deeper in their relationship with him.

At our annual church business meeting in August, we celebrated 450 people who have trusted Jesus and were baptized in the last three years. Those are changed lives! In that same time, over 800 people have completed our membership class and officially become members at Mobberly, including 293 just this past year. Our members are taking steps to mature in their faith. For instance, in the last two years, nearly 500 people have taken at least one class in our Christian Formation Course. We’re seeing more people commit to a Connect Group, and people in every generation step forward to serve. One of the unique joys we’ve seen this year is a new level of engagement with international missions. Through our Love the Nations initiative, we’ve sent 400 of our members on nearly 20 mission trips, and we’ve almost reached our $500,000 missions offering goal. Lives are being changed and people are maturing in their faith!

None of this is possible without your faithful generosity. As we near the end of the calendar year, would you show your support for this ministry with an additional end of year gift? This will help us finish the calendar year in a strong financial position as we look ahead to 2026. Finishing the year strong in our budget giving allows us to make future ministry plans with confidence, especially as we begin to prepare next year’s budget. Your generosity will help people come to know Jesus and grow deeper in their faith. It’s a joy to partner with you as we seek to honor the Lord in East Texas and around the world!

Grace and Peace,

Andrew Hébert, Ph.D.
