“...that seasons of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord...”
Acts 3:20

A Note From Dr. Andrew Hébert, Lead Pastor:

The Oasis Project is a plan to develop a refuge in East Texas for hurting people to find hope, help, and healing. Mobberly Baptist Church will use its nearly 140-acre campus to develop an “oasis in the woods” to minister to and bless hurting people, including pastors, missionaries, married couples, and others who are broken, burned-out, and need healing.

The Project will occur in three phases.

• Construction of the Hope Road Building
• Construction of Care Cabins
• Construction of a Chapel and Conference Center

Phase 1

Phase one consists of the construction of a building on the campus of Mobberly Baptist Church to house the Hope Road Counseling Center. Hope Road was founded by Mobberly Baptist Church with the desire to provide Gospel-centered professional therapeutic care for all of East Texas. Since 2018, Hope Road has seen over 3,300 clients. This building will allow Hope Road to provide counseling and spiritual direction for thousands of people.

Any funds raised in excess of the final project cost for Phase 1 of the Oasis Project will be applied to the remaining phases of the Oasis Project.

Phase 2

Phase two involves building 2-3 “Care Cabins” on the campus of Mobberly Baptist Church. These Care Cabins will be used to host burned- out pastors, exhausted missionaries, married couples in crisis, and others who need rest, encouragement, or counseling.

Phase 3

Phase three is a longer-term plan to construct a “Chapel in the Woods” and an adjoining Conference Center. The Chapel and Conference Center will be used for multiple purposes, including weddings, funerals, and special worship services, as well as to host other church staff and ministry teams for staff retreats, special conferences, and spiritual formation groups.
