Parent Commissioning Class – Marshall

Parent Commissioning Classes are one piece of our two-part Parent Commissioning event that includes:

• Equipping Parents (two required classes)
• Celebrating Families

The Equipping classes are required to participate in the Parent Commissioning Celebration.

Equipping Classes: Wednesday, April 12 & 19 | 6-7:30 pm

Celebration: Sunday, April 23 | 9:30 and 11 Services

Why Parent Commissioning?

The goal of parent commissioning is to begin a partnership with families to make Christ the center of their home. Through this event, we will equip and resource parents to lead their children to an ever-growing relationship with Jesus. We celebrate the blessing of children and the commitment of our church to partner with parents in their spiritual formation.

This is a two-part event: Equipping Parents and Celebrating Parents. The equipping course includes two classes that cover topics like:

• why God created the family
• understanding family discipleship and how the church partners with parents
• tips and practical strategies to help your children grow in their relationship with Jesus
• a special time of commitment and prayer

The second part is a celebration on Sunday morning during a worship service. We thank God for each child and recognize each family’s commitment. We also commit as a church to partner with the families and seek their spiritual formation.

Who: This is for new parents or families who have recently recognized the call to disciple their children and are committed to that pursuit.
