Mobberly Baptist Church Committee Nominations

Committee Qualifications

Member qualifications for all committees - Must be a Mobberly member of good standing for at least three years, be of good character, actively living out Church membership expectations and willing to assume committee responsibilities for a three-year term (unless otherwise stated). Term will be less if filling a vacancy.

Committee & Church Leadership Council Descriptions

Committee on Committees description – Nominates members for all Church committees and provides oversight on the functionality of all committees (except Pastor Search Committee.)

Finance Committee description – Oversees the administration of all financial business of the Church. Ensures: performance of an annual external audit, maintenance of non-profit and tax-exempt status, the keeping of accurate records, accounting principles and practices.

Missions Development Committee description – Assists with long-term strategic planning for missions and provides oversight of Church missions participation, funding and expenses.

Personnel Committee description – Oversees the human resource functions for the Church, including employment laws, Church personnel policies, policy manuals, and maintaining fair and equitable compensation.

Planning and Building committee description – Develops and updates the Church’s Campus Master Plan and oversees building constructions, renovations, and land improvements. (Members serve up to six years depending on current projects.)
