Meet Curtis Lane

Tell us a about you?  Where you grew up, went to college, hobbies, etc.

I am originally from Winfield, AL. I went to the University of Alabama for Elementary Education. I love being with people, woodworking, working out, and being with my family! I love crab legs, Chinese food, and Pepsi. I love working with students and their families and can’t see myself doing anything else!

Tell us a little about your family?

I am married to Haleigh Lane for coming up on 11 years. She is originally from Tyler, TX and she loves cooking and baking! We have been blessed to adopted two girls: Neely (5) and Nora (2). Both loves singing, unicorns, and animals! We have 2 dogs: Blu (French bulldog) and Jack (Sheltie). The Lane’s love to party so be ready for a good time!

Favorite Bible Verse?

Hebrews 6:19 “We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain.”

Give us one of your God stories?

A God story we love to talk about is how we came across Mobberly! We were not looking for a new calling, but the Lord had other plans for me and my family. Through so many different unique conversations and moments, we knew that God was calling us to Mobberly to come alongside the amazing student ministry that you already have to further the Kingdom of God and the families of Mobberly!

Anything you want students and parents to know as you begin serving at Mobberly?

Know that my family and I do not want to waste your time as followers of Jesus and as a family unit. I want to make sure that my family and I point you to the two biggest influencers of your life: 1. Jesus and 2. Your Family. God has called you as a family to not only reach out to others around you, but he also called you to each other. Your home has the potential to be your biggest impact for the Kingdom of God.
