Greg Martin

Pastor of Congregational Care

Greg grew up in a loving Christian home, and trusted Christ as his Savior at age eight.  He received an accounting degree from the University of Texas at Arlington, and is a Certified Public Accountant.  After a 15-year career in the oil and gas industry, Greg was called to serve in ministry in education and administration at his home church (FBC-Grand Prairie).  During his 10 years on staff there he also completed a Master of Arts in Christian Education degree at Southwestern Seminary.  He was called to Mobberly in 2005 and now serves as the Pastor of Congregational Care.  This ministry area helps with care for members, prayer, benevolence, and other church ministries.

Greg married Betsy Oliver in 1980.  They have two grown children.  Katy, a landscape architect who lives in Dallas, uses her talents remotely for OJB (A Landscape & Urban Planning Practice).  Mitchell and his wife Chrissy live in Richardson, where Mitchell is an engineer for Greenleaf Power.  They have  three children: Logan, Ross, and Hope .  Greg and Betsy enjoy reading and traveling together to visit family.  Greg loves sports, tries to play golf occasionally, and cheers for the Rangers, Mavericks and Cowboys.
