Where might women come to us from?
- Congregational Care for our members (HS or college students, single moms)
- In your sphere of influence (a family member, friend, coworker)
- Community agencies and non-profits serving women
There are women, in our congregation and outside, who have faced hard situations alone and have not had the opportunity to heal in safe community. It is never too late, and we can help. Examples of the need for healing include:
- Teen pregnancies
- Experiencing an abortion
- Placing a child for adoption
- Loss of an infant or miscarriage
- Sexual Abuse
- Gender confusion & same-sex attraction
- Church exclusion/lack of community support during prior pregnancy
There are youth and college students under our umbrella of watch care who are driven by the need to seek identity, self-confidence, validation and worth from relationships that have potential for harm or unplanned pregnancy. We can invest in their souls and care well for them by shaping their theology of God and self now.
IMPORTANT:
*Additional requirements for mentors working with minors (membership, screening, training)
